GLOUCESTER, MA (June 1, 2009) - Xylem-Rule (www.rule-industries.com), the market leader in bilge pump technology, is proud to announce the release of its newly redesigned, functionally updated Rule-Mate line of
automated bilge pumps. The new pumps include 500 GPH, 750 GPH and 1100 GPH models. It is the first major product improvement to the pumps since its successful introduction in 1999.
"The Rule-Mate pumps are an important part of our bilge pump business segment," according to Jeff Schopperle, Group Product Manager at Xylem Rule. "The line continues to grow for us, so we wanted to take advantage of technological advances and incorporate some feature benefits as well."
The new Rule-Mate pumps utilize a state-of-the-art solid-state water sensing device, threaded discharge ports, anti-fouling impellers and a new robust industrial design, among other improvements. Schopperle says extensive research was conducted prior to designing the new pump.
"First and foremast was reliability," he remarks. "The pump has to come on, shut off and come on again, over and over." Schopperle went on to explain the extent of the testing that was performed on the pump
throughout the development process to ensure the pump's overall reliability. "We've worked hard on this product" he says, "And I believe the new Rule-Mate will help us maintain our competitive edge in the marine marketplace."
